Recipes For After The Zombie Apocalypse

So I’m making a cookbook. & I need funding I’ve set up an Indiegogo account for the book here - http://www.indiegogo.com/refried-brains?a=1149600 If you can afford to donate, every little bit helps! If you can’t, please help me by spreading the word! I’ve wanted to create a cookbook for years now, & I would love to see this one work out, because it would be useful for so many people!!! This cookbook is based on using only ingredients that can be kept for months without refrigeration, & can be cooked with nothing more than a stovetop or an open flame. Perfect for camping, RVers, places with frequent power outages, zombie apocalypse preparation, etc. & if I can get the full amount funded, then printing costs & testing costs for the recipes will be paid, which means that I won’t have to charge an arm & a leg for the book. So, help me out if possible!

Geisha Mermaid Finished

I've been completely neglecting my blog D: I'll try to do better in the future, I promise! In apology, here's a new image I finished.
I update MUCH more frequently on both Facebook & Tumblr

1 piece & a WIP

I could have sworn I uploaded these here... *shrug*

& because I have credits at Vistaprint (they screwed up my business cards twice...), I'm going to get a tote bag made, & this is a WIP of what I'll be putting on it :D Look forward to seeing it finished in the coming month

Goddesses

I know I go a while between updates, but at least I have a decent amount of art to update with :)

These are $25 each for the original (that includes shipping). Whatever hasn't sold by December will be put up on Listia.
I'll update here as they're sold.

It's been a hectic month - moved out & spent 2 weeks without internet (!)
But, I have some art to show for it ;)

Drawing At Sunset

I FINALLY finished this piece... it took me about a week (no clue on hours, & a week on one piece is a long time for me - usually I finish a piece in a couple days)

That's me, drawing. That is going to be my hair - I have the dye, I just need to get a bleaching kit. That's my favourite skirt :D
I used this picture as a reference - http://garlockrealty.com/images/sunset.jpg
When I'm living in a van, I plan on keeping an illustrated travel journal. I can't wait ^_^

I'm going to use this picture for my business cards

Random Randomness

I wanted to try something different, so I figured facial expressions were a good place to start.
Poor Stubby, nothing ever goes right for her. Personally, I like the green hair, but I love weird hair colours :)

Newest Project - The Quote Book

Here is the start of my new project - I bought a small spiral notebook, & I found a bunch of quotes that I like on the internet. I'm going to draw a picture for each quote, & it's going to be my book-o-inspiration, for when I need a lift (it'll also let me get practice drawing things I wouldn't normally draw, & try different techniques & styles)

This one was a disappointment - I tried to do the text with my white pen, but it just kept blending into the background. Then I tried to go over the white with black, but the blue is too dark to let it show through clearly. It reads
"In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet - Albert Schweitzer"

Wow...

There are some REALLY nasty people in this world. Especially on the internet, where there is a screen, & the fact that no one knows who they really are, to protect them

Since my art was on the Postsecret site, as a secret, I have had 2 people post comments in my blog (here & my old blog) about how my art sucks, I need to get a job, I'm fat & lazy, I 'used' Postsecret as a way to get more people to see my stuff, blah blah blah. & it hasn't even been 24 hours yet. I am not looking forward to the rest of this week.

I have 2 things to say about this.

Number one. People use other people's art to send in secrets all the time. There is NOTHING saying that just because I drew the card, I also submitted the secret.

With that said, yes, I submitted the secret. This leads into the second thing I have to say about this. I drew it over 3 years ago & added text over 2 years ago, & it was sitting in a binder, sealed in an envelope, up until 2 months ago when I mailed it. I actually forgot what the secret said (although I did remember the jist of it), & I still don't remember signing it. If I had remembered, I probably wouldn't have sent it (because, seriously, my anxiety has been flaring up ever since I saw that it made it onto the site just because of that signature)
I just recently started drawing again, & figured the secret was valid, as I tried for a good year to draw only clean stuff, doing cute chibi things & bookmarks, & just having fun with it. I still do these things, but in that year & a half, I got nowhere with it.

I don't regret sending it in, & I wasn't trying to 'use' Postsecret just to get more people to notice me. This is more of a case of picture-is-unrelated, as I did NOT draw the postcard just for this purpose. I realize I probably should have covered up my signature, but it was an oversight, NOT a plea for attention that caused this (that, & I was trying to cover up the hand because I screwed up while inking & it looked wonky, but whatever)

Bookmarks & Charms

The candy bar & Pocky bookmarks will both be going on my Artfire account, for sale :D

The charms are for mine & Sal's DS's. The Daruma is for me, & I drew the Farfetch'd & Kirby for him. They're both double sided, & about 2" tall (give or take)

Magnets & 3 new pieces for the Sketchbook

With all the magnets I've been making lately, I've been neglecting my sketchbook. Although I only need to fill 1 more page, if I want to do both sides of each page (which I do), I need to do at least 15 more pieces *eep*

At any rate - here's some new art I just scanned in tonight.

Fanart & Bookmarks

I'm going to be selling magnets at the local card shop, so I figured Pokemon would be a good place to start :D

Also, I may be selling bookmarks down at the Farmers Market, so I did some Hallowe'en themed bookmarks to sell :)

3 more

I'm trying to scan these in more often so I don't have a HUGE post to deal with. We'll see how it goes

I used to have a cute little plastic charm on my purse that had a gray kitten in a teacup. The teacup fell off a while ago, but I still have the kitten :D

Heh, pokemon geekiness is showing through :D Lapras has always been one of my favourite pokemon, & the shiny is purple! Hooray! :D

I'm making bookmarks for next year, when I can go to the farmers market & try selling them :)

& now for some Sketchbook Project pieces

I have material with kitties like these on it, & I always thought they were adorable. I added the rainbow, as I love gradients

I've always liked the styles that flappers wore

I've started to make bookmarks, & since I still need to finish 22-ish pages in my sketchbook, I decided to use one of them as a full picture by adding stuff in the background :D

More art

I've hit a bit of a lull, but I figured I should at least post some of the stuff I've finished since the last time I posted.
